Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team for placing first at the Regionals Competition today.
The team had ten first place finishes, four 2nd place and three 3rd place. Everyone medaled and this sealed our spot to the State Championship!!!

The Beginning Band classes went on a virtual cruise Friday! They’ve been practicing a new song that has a calypso style percussion beat and includes Latin percussion instruments. They discussed context clues, planned what to pack for the “trip” and improvised parts of the music. What a much needed “vacation” and break from the winter weather! ☀️🏖️🌊😎

There are some important dates. coming up for current 8th grade students and parents.
There is a parent meeting on February 4th at 5:30 in the auditorium of MJHS for current 8th graders planning to attend MJHS next year.
That same night there is a mandatory meeting for any current 8th grader interested in trying out for cheerleading at the high school. It will be at 6:30.
