We’re extremely proud to announce that both our Symphonic and Concert Bands earned straight Superior Ratings at Music Performance Assessment this week! They were evaluated through a prepared stage performance and sight reading, earning the highest possible ratings from all adjudicators. The Beginning Band classes went on a virtual cruise Friday! They’ve been practicing a new song that has a calypso style percussion beat and includes Latin percussion instruments. They discussed context clues, planned what to pack for the “trip” and improvised parts of the music. What a much needed “vacation” and break from the winter weather! ☀️🏖️🌊😎
