We are feeling energized and ready for the academic year ahead following today’s Back to School Conference! 💙📚
The theme for this school year, "Realizing our Potential, Redefining the Standard,” is all about acknowledging and appreciating our progress, while setting even bigger goals and raising the bar. Today, our faculty and staff gathered in one place to do exactly this. Together, we celebrated past wins and set the stage for a successful school year ahead.
We sincerely appreciate our educators and administrators for participating today, as well as each of our presenters for their time. We are beyond excited for the 2026-2027 school year, and can’t wait to see everyone in the classroom next week! 🎉

Our 2026 New Teacher Orientation is in the books, and WOW do we have an incredible group of educators joining the JEFCOED Family! 👏📚
Thank you to our presenters and attendees for making today’s orientation such a success. We are ecstatic for the upcoming year and can’t wait to see the difference each of our teachers will make!

Preparing the next generation of educators! 📚💙
Last night, we welcomed students and families to Center Point High School for the UAB-JEFCOED Teacher Academy open house! Members of our JEFCOED Family learned all about the magnet program, toured the wing that will house the Teacher Academy, and even got to meet some of the program’s educators.
We’re beyond excited that students will not only have the chance to gain valuable experience in the field of education, but also complete a significant portion of their college degree at no cost. The future of education is bright — and it’s being developed right here at JEFCOED!

What an inspiring two days we've had at the 2026 Leadership Summit!👏 It is truly a gift to have our school and district leaders all under one roof, sharing ideas and setting the standard for the incredible school year ahead. Thank you to Hueytown High School for hosting!

Jakob Meherg and Ladarious Dixon represented our state and school in San Antonio at the FBLA National Leadership Conference this summer. They competed on the national stage against some of the best students in the country. In addition to showcasing their skills, they networked with peers and professionals, participated in engaging workshops, and explored the vibrant city of San Antonio. We are proud of their hard work, dedication, and outstanding representation of our school!

Back to School Parent Meetings are coming soon; August 6th.
6th Grade: 5:30pm: Students and parents should attend. There will be a table if you want to bring any general supply donations (tissue, sanitizer, etc.) but please do not bring individual class supplies until the first day of school.
7th Grade & 8th Grade: 6:30pm: It is not necessary for the student to come.

The Advanced English for 7th Grade books have been added to the supply list and also listed in the graphic above.

Allow me to reintroduce Savannah Falcone. Ms. Falcone is teaching 7th & 8th math this year! She has two years of previous math experience in Mississippi. Last year she taught science at NJ but is switching it up! New grade level and new subject - same goal of student success!! She is getting married in October, so she will become Mrs. Gatwood (but you can still call her Ms. Falcone of course!!)

We can't wait to see the kids in a few weeks and hear all about their adventures, both near and far.
Just as a reminder, we do have Schedule Pickup & Fee Payment on Monday, at the school. Please be sure to read through the information provided in the post, so that you and your family are prepared when you arrive. Supply lists and fee/donation sheet can be found on the school website, the message sent out through Parent Square and linktree in our profile. See you soon!

Welcome Tiffany Lollar. Ms Tiffany is our newest addition to CNP. She is so excited to join the Blue Devil family!

During your fee payment & schedule pickup, stop by the CTE table to check out the Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) that our school offers. A CTSO is an intracurricular student organization integrated into CTE (Career and Technical Education) classes. They enhance learning through leadership development, applied skills, and real-world career preparation.
