The Health Department will be at North Jefferson Middle School on 08/25/2025 to administer flu shots to students who do not have PEEHIP insurance. Please fill out the form with all of the required information and return it to the school nurse by 08/20/2025. There will also be a hard copy of the form in the front office, if needed. If you have any questions, please call 205-379-4000.

Time: 5:30PM Location: Practice Field at NJMS Details: 🎨 COLOR GAMES are HERE at NJMS! 🎉 This brand-new program was created by the NJMS Booster Club to build school S-P-I-R-I-T! 💙 All teams were assigned by Mr. Henderson using a randomizer program. ✅ What to expect: 1. Colored wristbands representing your child's team will be given out tomorrow at "Meet The Blue Devils." We will also have our 💙FIRST TEAM CHALLENGE!!!!💙 (If you are unable to make it, your child's wristband will be given to them at school.) 2. Monthly challenges that happen at school — no extra work at home. 3. FUN, engaging activities that unite students across all grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. 4. We are excited to announce that we are allowed to have a Newcomb team this Fall. There will be a boys and a girls team. Each team will have 10-12 members. Review the information below. We will play ONE NIGHT. We trust that your child's extra-curricular coaches will support the school's effort and allow him/her to miss a practice to represent the school. If your child cannot attend the tournament, then do not allow your child to try out for the team. Tryouts: TBA DURING PE Sign Up: Must sign up on your PE Schoology page during 4th period Cost for Team Member: TBA Practices: During PE- No after school practices Tournament: One Tournament (Pool Play and then begin a single elimination tournament all on the same date) Where: Tournament Site TBA Possible Tournament Dates: 10/27,10/28,10/29 See Coach Johnsey with any questions.

Meet The Blue Devils 2025 hosted by the Booster Club kicks off on Thursday, August 14th, at 5:30 PM at the NJMS Practice Field! 🏈🎉 This exciting event will introduce all of our Fall Sports Teams — including Football, Sports Medicine, Volleyball, Dance, Majorettes, and Cheerleaders. Admission is $5 CASH at the gate, while NJMS students and children in 5th grade and under get in FREE. **NEW THIS YEAR** The Booster Club is launching a year-long Color Games program! Every 6th–8th-grade student will be assigned to a Color Team and receive a colored wristband at school next week (provided by the Booster Club). Their first Color Games competition will happen during Meet The Blue Devils — so come ready to cheer for your team and score some Team Points! Bring the whole family and enjoy delicious eats from local favorites: Stephen’s Hot Dogs, Pandy’s, and Green Top Barbecue. Garrett Suchey will be joining our Exception Education department in the Self Contained classroom.
He says he is human juke box. He remembers lyrics to songs easily and his range of music is unpredictable. When he isn't at school he can be found playing golf or with his son Tucker and wife Miranda.

Belle Stone will be joining the 6th grade hall teaching Social Studies. She has taught for 2 years. When she isn't at school, she loves to go for a walk or hang out at the pool. She enjoys reading on her Kindle and watching TV.

Madeline Dye will join the 8th grade hallway this year teaching English.
She has been teaching for 9 years.
She loves to travel and has been to 26 states and 6 countries so far.
When she isn't working she is most likely reading, playing with her dog and cats or spending time with her husband and family.

Heather Bullard, though not a new face to our Blue Devil family has taken on a new position at the school. Ms. Bullard will be teaching Family and Consumer Sciences this year for 7th and 8th grade. She is also the head volleyball coach, assistant girls basketball coach and Ambassador sponsor. When she isn't at school; she is probably attending a sporting event for her son, Chaz.

Erin Brown also joins our 8th grade. She has taught for 13 years and will be teaching English. Fun fact, she attended Alabama School of Fine Arts for 2 years as a dance major. When she isn't teaching she loves watching her kids live their best lives.

When she isn't at work she enjoys cooking, her dogs, hanging out with her friends, decorating, planning a wedding and sleeping.
