
Our Science Olympiad Team competed Saturday and came in 6th place out of 15 schools. "Barge Building," came in 2nd place. That team consisted of Hadleigh Anderson and Hayden Parker! Congratulations to Mrs. Hendrix and her team!

Our Science Olympiad Team along with their sponsor, Mrs. Hendrix, will compete this Saturday, January 25th at Pinson Elementary. They will be competing in several science categories including aerodynamics, space, anatomy, geology, and more ! We wish them good luck!!!

Many of us went to sleep on Thursday night, thinking it wouldn't happen after all. And then it did!! Our kids did a great job last night at our 1st round of competition. They strategized with other teams to find the best way to score points. They scored 3 total points with their robot. Next competition is Jan. 23.







This morning, the Alabama Department of Education approved a resolution recognizing Dr. Walter B. Gonsoulin, Jr. as the 2025 Alabama Superintendent of the Year!! Dr. Gonsoulin serves State School Board Districts Three, Four, and Seven with heart, vision, and determination. We couldn't be prouder of his leadership.

Mount Olive's 24-25 Spelling Bee winner is Gavin Cruse! Ariana Telmont was our 2nd place winner! Gavin will go on to compete with other Jefcoed students at the Jefferson County Spelling Bee!
