The 2025 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon was Saturday, February 22. Several Mount Olive students participated in this event! Way to go!

Character Big Idea for February: Uniqueness
Our Character Big Idea for February is uniqueness. Throughout the month we will be on the lookout for students who accept and embrace diversity in themselves and others. Here are the first students chosen for February.

Our Robotics Team in Action! Tuesday, the robotics team competed in their 3rd robotics competition. They are currently 12/24 teams. We will go to the Championship on Feb
15 for a chance to go to State.






Dog Man hit the theaters in January 31. To celebrate the library gave away copies of Dog Man books! We had 5 winners!



In Mrs. Hendrix's class, students are reading nonfiction texts about geology. As part of this CKLA unit, students got to participate in a hands-on experiment about the different types of tectonic plate movements.








February 5th is World Read Aloud Day! Please join in by reading aloud to someone special! We will be reading aloud throughout the school that day!

Our character word for January is resilience. We will be on the lookout for students exhibiting this character trait throughout the month of January. These students were chosen last week as great examples of resilience. They earned a free desert from Chick-Fil-A for their resilience.
