We are so excited to share that Mount Olive Elementary School 4th grader Jack Roberts has been named a winner of the Father Goose Poetry competition! ✍️🏆
As one of the winners, Jack had his poem, "Alabama, You Are Great," displayed during a special reception at the State Capitol. He will also have the opportunity to read his work at the Father Goose Poetry Festival in May! 🪿✨
Jack's creativity inspires us all, and we know his writing skills will take him far!

4th grader Jack Roberts was recognized Tuesday at a special reception in Montgomery for his poem, "Alabama You Are Great."
Jack submitted his poem as part of the annual Father Goose Poetry contest. Out of many entries, his was chosen!
He will also be honored at an event in May, where he and other student authors will read their poems out loud and get to enjoy fun activities.

4th and 5th grade- you are up! Testing will begin April 8th! Please try to get a good night's rest, eat breakfast, and be on time! We will begin around 8:30!

Congratulations to our Science Olympaid team for their successes at the state competition at Auburn. Special Congratulations to Avett and Zach for winning first place in Starry, Starry Night. Also to Holland and Jack for 4th in Science Categories .
All others received a ribbon for placing 5th-8th in their respective events.

Aubree attends Bragg Middle School and Hadleigh is a student at Mount Olive Elementary School!
You can cheer on these amazing students this weekend at Thompson High School. Preliminary competitions are Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the finals are set for 2 p.m. Sunday!
