Students are feeling stylish and confident after a visit from local nonprofit: ‘So Fresh & So Clean Haircuts 4 Youth’! 💈🤩 The organization recently visited Brighton School, Pleasant Grove Elementary School, and Hueytown Intermediate School, where they mentored students and provided them with free haircuts! We want to say a big thank you to each barber and volunteer who made this special day possible, as well as to Representative Patrick Sellers for connecting our district with this wonderful organization!

🛡️ MISSION BRIEF: OPERATION NUTRITION SUCCESS 🛡️
The hunger-monsters didn’t stand a chance today! We’re declassifying the files on the secret legends who keep this school fueled and functioning. Today, we salute our Cafeteria Crusaders for School Lunch Hero Day!
Meet the squad keeping the hangry-pocalypse at bay:
🥬 Mrs. Vee: The Green Kale
Don’t let the leafy name fool you- Mrs. Vee is on a mission to turn every student into a powerhouse. With a flick of her wrist, she serves up the greenest, crispest vegetables known to man, ensuring our students have the "fiber-optic" strength to power throughout the day.
⚡ Mrs. Monica: Super Server
Blink and you’ll miss her! Mrs. Monica operates at Mach-5 speeds, serving 300+ students twice a day without breaking a sweat or spilling a drop. Physics says it shouldn't be possible to move that many trays with that much grace, but she defies the laws of nature daily.
🌟 Mrs. Player: The Golden Meal Deal
Every elite team needs a tactical genius, and Mrs. Player is our Squad Commander. Not only does she lead the crew with nerves of steel, but she possesses the rare superpower of Omni-Inventory Vision. She can predict exactly how many chicken nuggets are needed three days into the future just by sensing a shift in the playground atmosphere. She is the gold standard of lunchroom leadership!
🧹 Mrs. Tori: The Lunch Avenger
When chaos strikes and the crumbs descend, Mrs. Tori leaps into action! As our Lunch Avenger, she keeps the cafeteria sparkling like a hidden fortress. Her secondary power? Infinite Abundance. She ensures the meals never run out—if you’re hungry, she’s got your back. She’s the shield that protects us from the dreaded "Empty Tray" syndrome.
To our heroes: You may not wear capes (they’re a total snag hazard near the ovens anyway), but you are the heart and soul of this school. Thank you for feeding our bodies, brightening our days, and being the real MVPs!

🍎 Celebrating Excellence: National School Principal Day🍎
Today, we take a moment to honor the heartbeat of Brighton School—our incredible principal, Mrs. Aisha Bryant!
Being a principal is more than just managing a building; it’s about cultivating a community where every student feels seen, every teacher feels supported, and every day is an opportunity for growth. Mrs. Bryant does all of this with grace, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to our students’ success.
Why We’re Grateful for Mrs. Bryant:
🎒Visionary Leadership: She doesn't just see Brighton School for what it is, but for what it can become, constantly pushing us toward excellence.
🎒A Heart for Students: Whether she’s greeting kids at the front door or cheering in the classrooms to motivate students, her "students-first" mentality is felt by everyone.
🎒Empowering Educators: She fosters a culture of collaboration and professional respect, making Brighton a place where teachers truly thrive.
🎒Community Pillar: Mrs. Bryant bridges the gap between the classroom and the home, ensuring our families are true partners in the educational journey.
"A great principal builds a bridge between a child's potential and their future."
Mrs. Bryant, thank you for being that bridge for us. Please join us in the comments below by sharing your favorite memory or a quick "thank you" to Mrs. Bryant for everything she does!

Tomorrow is National Librarian Day, and we couldn't let it pass without shouting out the heart and soul of our library—the incomparable Ms. Reed!

* The Ultimate Problem Solver: From tech support to research deep-dives, there’s no hurdle she can’t help you clear.
* Creating a Haven: She’s turned our library into a space for curiosity, quiet reflection, and community.
