Rolling Our Way to Reading Success! 🎲📖
Things got a little competitive (and a lot of fun) in Mrs. Colvert’s 2nd Grade class today! The students played "Roll and Read" to master the tricky Long A sound.
They practiced distinguishing between the vowel teams 'ai' and 'ay'—rolling the dice and racing to read and spell words correctly. It’s amazing to see how much faster their fluency grows when learning feels like a game!
Way to go, 2nd graders! Who knew phonics could be this much fun?

👦🏽👦🏽 Twin-Tastic Day for Red Ribbon Week! 👧🏼👧🏼
We had so much fun teaming up against drugs for Twin Day during🎀 Red Ribbon Week!🎀
It was a blast seeing so many students and teachers rocking matching outfits and showing off their amazing creativity.

Why Twin Day?
Twin Day for Red Ribbon Week is all about the power of friendship and unity. The theme is simple but powerful: "Just like puzzle pieces, we fit better when we work together!"
By twinning with a friend, a group, or even a teacher, we show that we are united in making healthy, drug-free choices. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made our school shine with team spirit!
Shout Out to Our Amazing Twins!
* To the teachers who coordinated with each other, you're the real MVPs!
* To the students who brought their bestie(s) to match, your bond is inspiring!
* To everyone who found a creative way to "twin" and show support for a drug-free life, you rock!
Let's keep up this energy and support each other all year long! Remember, we are stronger together!
