Plenty of fun was had at Fultondale High School today as students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉

The school's festival combined education with entertainment, as students played traditional games, tasted food and drinks from different countries, and even had their faces painted! We loved seeing our students showcase their heritage and educate their peers in such an engaging way!

Late last month at Concord Elementary School, classrooms were turned into operating rooms as students performed surgeries in math, language arts, and science! Putting their skills and expertise to the test, students solved problems with ease, finding solutions and providing great patient care!

Year after year, Brighton School's Hispanic Heritage Festival shines a light on Hispanic culture, bringing families front and center to celebrate and share their heritage. ❤️

This year, among the touching and educational booths, there was a beautiful memorial video honoring Brighton's own Bobbie Clum Jimenez. Mrs. Bobbie served as a paraprofessional at Brighton and was a pillar of the community and at the school. Her impact was celebrated during Friday's festival, and will live on through the countless lives she touched at Brighton and beyond. Mr. Conway began working for our district in the maintenance department in December 2002 before becoming a maintenance supervisor in 2019 and assistant director of maintenance in 2023. No matter the task, we could always count on Mr. Conway to get the job done, and we sincerely thank him for the difference he made at our district over more than two decades!
