It was a heartfelt morning for students in JEFCOED's Leadership (JROTC US Army) Signature Academy, as they participated in the VA Suicide Prevention Memorial Ruck in Birmingham. 💙
This touching event honors the lives of service members lost to suicide and raises awareness of mental health. As participants walked with their weighted rucksacks, they reminded us that no one should have to carry their burdens alone. It was deeply moving to see our students, neighboring school districts, and community members come together in support of such a worthy cause.
Remember that you are not alone, and if you or someone you love is in crisis, you can call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
