We’re sharing our final JEFCOED Journeys as the school year gets underway! Thank you for sharing your summer adventures with us! ☀️🤩
🗺️ The Goodwins traveled to McMinnville, Tennessee, where they explored Cumberland Caverns!
📚 Kaitlyn and Chance attend Oak Grove High School!
🐶 Ms. Kimberly Carter and her dog, Eros, took a day trip to hike through Cheaha State Park in the Talladega National Forest!
📚 Ms. Carter is a Local Reading Specialist at U.W. Clemon Elementary School!
🚗 Tabitha, Luke, and Noah Powell explored the Ark Encounter! They say 7.5 hours in the car to Corinth, Kentucky was worth it!
📚 The Powell kiddos attend Bagley Elementary School!
✨ And it looks like Miss Sariyah had one full summer! She enjoyed visiting Great Wolf Lodge, Bubble Planet, Museum of Illusion, and Atlantic Station. Sariyah also rode in the caboose of a train, made a food review video of macarons and bonbons, and stopped by the viral Yonutz Donuts and Ice Cream. Locally, she got her first manicure and nail set, found a rainbow, went to Chick-Fil-A Cow Day, visited splash pads, attended a concert, watched fireworks, attended summer camp, and went to cheer practice! 📣👏 Love it!
📚 Sariyah attends Center Point Elementary and her grandmother, Ms. Owens, teaches ESL at Brighton School!

The theme for this school year, "Realizing our Potential, Redefining the Standard,” is all about acknowledging and appreciating our progress, while setting even bigger goals and raising the bar. Today, our faculty and staff gathered in one place to do exactly this. Together, we celebrated past wins and set the stage for a successful school year ahead.
We sincerely appreciate our educators and administrators for participating today, as well as each of our presenters for their time. We are beyond excited for the 2026-2027 school year, and can’t wait to see everyone in the classroom next week! 🎉
