Exciting News Oak Grove Elementary! This Wednesday, May 14, Pre-K through 2nd grades will have an author’s visit from Nancy Benz, author of the children's book "Jane, Found on Jane Lane". Students have the opportunity to prepurchase an autographed copy for their very own. Please see the flyer below for more information.

We are SO excited to share that the Jefferson County School District has been awarded the Blue Cross Blue Shield Be Healthy Grant for the VERY first time!🎉👏 Mr. Christopher Reeves, Physical Education Supervisor for Jefferson County Schools, says, “This is a meaningful moment for our district, as it reflects the dedication of so many who believe in the power of physical education to shape healthier lives for our students.” Mr. Reeves adds that this grant will provide everything from exercise bikes to agility ladders, benefiting and inspiring students and educators. We ended our Read Across America Week on a high note thanks to the seniors of the Oak Grove High School Band. They helped with car line and then spent time reading books to our students. Band director, Mr. Meyer, even got in on the action and everyone reported that he is an AMAZING reader! Oak Grove Elementary third graders had an incredible time today as James Spann, our favorite meteorologist, visited us! He shared his expertise on different types of weather, from sunny days to severe storms, and even gave students important safety tips.
