2024-2025 Awards Day
Our 6th grade Beginning Band students had a wonderful day in Atlanta, GA! They ate lunch at the Varsity, toured the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium and their last stop was the Medieval Times dinner show. Lots of memories and lots of fun!
The dance team is having a fundraiser selling bundt cakes.

Volleyball tryouts are coming up next week. Make sure you have turned in your physical.
Yearbook sales are going on until 5/23/2025. You can go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and then enter our school code of 11050.
If you are unsure if you bought a yearbook, you can call the front office.
Parents, the Health Department will be out on 4/7/25 to administer immunizations for any student who is in need of one. This is a great opportunity for your child to receive required immunizations at school. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse at 205-379-4000 or bmorrison@jefcoed.com

NJMS made their 1st appearance at State for Science Olympiad!
The team finished top 6 in the state which was the highest standing for Jefferson County in B division.
The NJMS team placed in 8 events which included two 1st place finishes , two 2nd place finishes and four 3rd places finishes!!
This marks the first NJMS team to make it to State!! Way to make history NJMS SO team!!!
8th grade tshirt order forms are due Friday, March 21. Forms are on the school website and in the front office.

We’re extremely proud to announce that both our Symphonic and Concert Bands earned straight Superior Ratings at Music Performance Assessment this week! They were evaluated through a prepared stage performance and sight reading, earning the highest possible ratings from all adjudicators. Help us congratulate our students and this outstanding accomplishment! It’s a great day to be a Blue Devil!

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team for placing first at the Regionals Competition today.
The team had ten first place finishes, four 2nd place and three 3rd place. Everyone medaled and this sealed our spot to the State Championship!!!
