Greetings Tiger Families,

We are excited to share our 2026–2027 Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP)! Our work this year is centered around three important goals:

💜 Teaching & Learning — Strengthening instruction, student engagement, and data-driven practices
💛 Culture & Climate — Building a safe, positive school community where students, staff, and families feel connected and supported
💚 Removing Barriers — Increasing access, support, and academic success for our English Learners

The attached English and Spanish CIP at-a-glance documents provide a quick look at our priorities, key initiatives, and the impact we expect to see throughout the year.

Achieving these goals takes the entire Minor Middle School village; and we look forward to partnering with our students, families, staff, and community as we continue Realizing Our Potential and Redefining the Standard! PAWS up!🐯💜

Preparing the next generation of educators! 📚💙

Last night, we welcomed students and families to Center Point High School for the UAB-JEFCOED Teacher Academy open house! Members of our JEFCOED Family learned all about the magnet program, toured the wing that will house the Teacher Academy, and even got to meet some of the program’s educators.

We’re beyond excited that students will not only have the chance to gain valuable experience in the field of education, but also complete a significant portion of their college degree at no cost. The future of education is bright — and it’s being developed right here at JEFCOED!
