Congratulations to all 8 of this year's JCIB National Civics Bee Regional Finalists!
On Saturday, April 11th, 8 of our JCIB 7th and 8th graders competed in the Regional Final of the 2026 National Civics Bee, representing nearly half of our entire region of Alabama. These students demonstrated an incredible amount of maturity and sportsmanship during their competition and we could not be more proud of their efforts.
Ultimately, 4 of the 5 finalists would be JCIB students and 2 JCIB 7th graders went on to qualify for the State Final, where they will compete against 10 other students for a chance to represent the entire state in the National Civics Bee.
The commitment of these students to Civics and academic competition are yet another wonderful showcase of JCIB Excellence!

We are so proud of the three delegations who recently represented JCIB middle school at the Junior United Nations Assembly 2026, in Oxford, Alabama. The three teams this year represented Azerbaijan, Dominican Republic, and Ireland. All three delegations did a fantastic job, and Ireland’s resolution passed at General Assembly. Ireland also won an award for Best Native Dress, and Azerbaijan delegate, Jackson Albright, was awarded an Honorable mention for Best Boy Delegate.

Shout out to the Future City Builders lead by Mrs. Downs. They recently
