H.I.S would like to send out a HUGE shoutout to our PTA! With out our incredible PTA we wouldn't have been able to achieve so many of the fun and memorable activities from this school year! Our PTA has been a tremendous help in making things like boo-grams, fall festival, bearly grams, and so much more happen for our students. We are so grateful for all of you!

This morning, the Alabama Department of Education approved a resolution recognizing Dr. Walter B. Gonsoulin, Jr. as the 2025 Alabama Superintendent of the Year!! Dr. Gonsoulin serves State School Board Districts Three, Four, and Seven with heart, vision, and determination. We couldn't be prouder of his leadership.

A HUGE thank you to a very generous Mr. Smith for donating this brand new leaf blower to our school this morning. At the family house meeting Coach O'Brien explained to families how she creates an inclusive environment in her PE class by using these (see videos) to allow our Exceptional Education students to throw and catch with their peers. After hearing this, Mr. Smith went to Lowes and purchased this one for our student to be able to use in addition to the one we had. Thank you so much!
