We are SO excited to share that the Jefferson County School District has been awarded the Blue Cross Blue Shield Be Healthy Grant for the VERY first time!🎉👏 Mr. Christopher Reeves, Physical Education Supervisor for Jefferson County Schools, says, “This is a meaningful moment for our district, as it reflects the dedication of so many who believe in the power of physical education to shape healthier lives for our students.” Mr. Reeves adds that this grant will provide everything from exercise bikes to agility ladders, benefiting and inspiring students and educators. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

The Rockets travel to Parker this Thursday for our first region contest! Please be aware of the new Birmingham City Schools policies regarding attendance that are attached to this message. A clear bag policy is in place for all BCS hosted contests. Kickoff is at 7pm!

Support our own by watching and voting for them as they look to be crowned the next winners of America's Got Talent!

Rockets @ Pinson Valley

Rockets travel to Pinson Valley tonight! Kickoff at 7pm. Today's theme is a Jersey-Out. Wear your favorite team jersey to school !

🚀 Parking for the game is $5 CASH ONLY
🚀 Tickets are $8 at the gate CASH or GoFan $9
🚀 There will be an entrance gate in the visitor's parking lot so that guests do not have to walk all the way around to get into the stadium

Come join us in the Learning Lounge, which is located in the library, on Wednesdays! This week during "Work Shop Wednesday" some of our GHS students stopped by to review how to use Sora which is an app for borrowing e-books and audiobooks.

Game Day!

Today is Game Day for the GHS football and volleyball teams! The theme for today is "Welcome to the Jungle". Students (and staff) are encouraged to show their school spirit by dressing up for game day! All attire are to be within dress code.

September 2, 2025, will be an E-Learning Day for all JEFCOED students. Students do not report to on campus classes on September 2.
