Happy National Fourth Graders Day!💙 National 4th Graders Day is celebrated on the second Monday in January, which this year is January 13. Fourth-grade students are taking on more challenges in math, reading, writing, social studies, science, as well as art, music, world language, and physical education. They work hard, yet still are guided by a wonderful imagination. They really shine when they are in charge of their own learning and usually shimmer brightest when they are able to use their creativity along with their newly-acquired skills. Let’s celebrate the magic of being 9 or 10 and show the world what fourth graders can do! Shout out to our amazing fourth grade teachers, Mrs. Thrash and Ms. Plump💙 Our fourth graders were rewarded with a sweet treat and lots of love today!

American Education Week wraps up by recognizing Substitute Educators Day. Substitute Educators Day was established by The National Education Association (NEA). The event occurs the Friday before Thanksgiving each year and highlights the important role substitute teachers play in education. In 2024, the day was Friday, November 22nd. At Brighton School, our substitute teachers play a very vital role in our school day success. We have dedicated sub teachers who have been a part of the Brighton family for years. We caught a few smiling subs this week but we want to show that we appreciate them all. Join us in showing our appreciation by leaving an encouraging comment for our fantastic subs! ❤️🐻⭐️ @Jefcoed #substituteappreciationday2024 #nea
