#GoodThingsHappening!💙 We are thrilled to share that more than two dozen JEFCOED schools earned the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Certification! To earn this honor, these schools had to have an ENERGY STAR score of at least 75, meaning they run at least 75% more efficiently than similar buildings across the country.

In recognition of their commitment to energy conservation and sustainability, Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin and representatives from Cenergistic presented 27 of our schools with awards and certificates at this week’s board meeting! Please help us congratulate the following schools:

Congratulations to Elisa Handley for winning our Jefcoed Strong Award for the second nine weeks! This award is in recognition of her dedication and positive spirit she continuously brings to JEFCOED. Her enthusiasm and commitment reach far beyond her job title and inspire those around her.

Those who nominated Mrs. Handley for this award said she works hard to make learning fun in the social studies classroom through projects and other engaging activities. She also went above and beyond this nine weeks to bring joy to her students through her door and hall decorations. The theme of this award was "Shining Through the Season" and Mrs. Handley is a definitely a shining light at Bragg Middle

🎄✂️ Our FACS classes at Bragg Middle School have been busy sewing 92 pillowcases and ornaments for soldiers in Romania this Christmas! With lots of thread, materials, and learning, we're thrilled to bring smiles to their faces on Christmas Day. It's a joy to give back during this holiday season. We're grateful beyond words and thankful to live in America. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us! 🎅✨
