How cool is this?! Hueytown High School Assistant Baseball Coach, Trenton Ray traded his bat for golf clubs during the Alabama State Amateur Golf Championship Qualifying!🏌️⛳He tied for 26th, which is an outstanding accomplishment! While Coach Ray didn’t make the cut at State, we’re so proud of his hard work!

Creativity is SOARing over at Clay Elementary! Thanks to Eri Taguchi and Samford University, our SOAR Program students were able to learn the art of origami! Their creations were😸PAWSitively😸incredible!

How awesome are these guest readers?🎉📚 YouthServe stopped by SOAR camp at Grantswood Community School, where they not only read to students but also gave away free books! We’re so grateful to YouthServe’s staff and volunteers for sharing their time and resources!

Check out our JEFCOED leaders representing at CLAS Convention!📚👏
For three days, they attended learning sessions, heard from speakers, and had the opportunity to connect with other leaders in education. We're so excited to see what skills they bring back to their schools in the upcoming year!

Students attending SOAR at Clay Elementary School had the coolest visitors stop by this week🐫🐐! Hank the Camel and his four-legged friends taught our students so much, and also provided plenty of entertainment! We love when learning is fun and memorable, and we’re so happy Hank and his pals came by!

Check this out! Minor High School students are representing JEFCOED from Adamsville to the BIG APPLE!🍎🗽Back in April, these students attended the Eco Sneakers "Step Towards Your Destiny" event at UAB. They toured campus, learned about sustainability and financial literacy, and took this photo promoting Operation Hope's green sock financial literacy initiative. That SAME photo was then displayed on the Nasdaq MarketSite billboard in Times Square! We’re so excited these students were featured in NYC, but even more proud that they’re taking action to further their education! 👏📚

Please help us wish a very happy retirement to these JEFCOED counselors! We appreciate all you’ve done to support our students, and will miss you dearly! Best wishes as you start this next chapter!
