We ended 2025 on the dance floor, celebrating the many ways the Jefferson County Schools Education Foundation supports our students and educators. The foundation’s inaugural Winter Wonderland Gala and Silent Auction was a true joy, especially knowing the money raised will go to programs that promote the success of our JEFCOED Family!

Ms. Coleman and Ms. Wigley shared all about JEFCOED’s exciting and successful STEM Pop-Ups. What began as Ms. Coleman’s Alabama Technology Integration Coach graduation project has blossomed into informative sessions enjoyed by our entire district! Hueytown Middle School honored National Girls and Women in Sports Day with a special guest speaker, former college basketball player and McAdory High School Graduate Jaylin Austin! Jaylin spoke to 6th and 7th grade girls, encouraging them and sharing advice on how to navigate life.
We’re so grateful Jaylin was able to visit with these students and pass along words of wisdom!

We also want to give a big shoutout to our parent chaperones for attending, along with our JEFCOED ExEd employees, who make events like this so fun!🤩

National Signing Day celebrations continue! 🎉 We’re thrilled to recognize more student-athletes taking their talents to the next level. Yesterday, Christian Thomas and Maurice Allen from Pinson Valley High School officially committed to Tuskegee University to continue their academic and athletic careers!

In fact, our amazing career coaches just recently attended the annual Career Coach Retreat at The University of Alabama, where they learned valuable information and connected with industry partners in the Tuscaloosa area.
This is just a portion of the work they put in to help our students succeed, and we sincerely appreciate all they do for our district!💙
