Dear JEFCOED Family,

This Attendance Awareness Month, we are excited to announce our Trick-or-Treat Attendance Challenge for students in elementary and intermediate classes!

Here’s how it works:

  • The elementary or intermediate class with the highest average daily attendance in September will be named the winner.*

  • On Halloween (October 31), the winning class will take a special trip to the Jefferson County Board of Education.

  • Students will have the opportunity to dress in costume, trick-or-treat throughout the building, and meet Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin.

We need YOUR help to make this happen! Strong attendance helps your child succeed in school, now and in the future. Let’s work together to make every school day count. Thank you for supporting your child’s success through consistent attendance!

Regards,

Jefferson County Schools

*If multiple classes tie for the top attendance, up to three classes will be selected to attend. If more than three classes are tied, the class with the highest average daily attendance in August will serve as the tie-breaker.
