Attention Parents/Guardians: The student transfer application portal for the 2026-2027 school year is open and accepting applications! This includes Majority-to-Minority ("M-to-M") transfers.
The application window for student transfers for the 2026-2027 school year will close at the end of the day on Monday, June 1st, 2026. Don't miss this opportunity if you're considering a transfer for your child!
Important Reminders:
Late submissions cannot be accepted, so make sure to apply before the deadline of June 1st, 2026.
Remember, employee and hardship transfer applications must be completed for all students seeking a transfer to a Jefferson County school every year, including students who are on a transfer for the previous school year.
Students on a Majority-to-Minority (M-to-M) transfer must submit a formal application based on the following:
Once a student receives an M-to-M transfer, the District will allow the student to remain at the awarded school until the terminal grade without needing to submit a formal application each year as long as the student continuously attends the awarded school.
If a student chooses to attend a school other than their awarded school (e.g., they choose to remain at their home school or are admitted to and attend a different school), then the student must reapply for an M-to-M transfer in order to return to the previously awarded school.
Upon the completion of the final grade at the approved M-to-M transfer school, the student must apply for an M-to-M transfer to the school serving the next grade span if they do not wish to attend their zoned school.
Transportation options may be available for some approved transfers.
