This morning, the Alabama Department of Education approved a resolution recognizing Dr. Walter B. Gonsoulin, Jr. as the 2025 Alabama Superintendent of the Year!! Dr. Gonsoulin serves State School Board Districts Three, Four, and Seven with heart, vision, and determination. We couldn't be prouder of his leadership.

On Friday, September 24, Rudd Middle and Jefferson County Schools are asking everyone to "Go Gold." Students and employees are encouraged to wear gold or yellow to support those dealing with childhood cancer and raise awareness of the disease.

Quinceañera Pageant hosted by Pinson Valley High School. 👑 Miss Madeline Aviles shone bright as this year's Srta. Quinceañera, embodying the spirit of unity and cultural pride. 🌺 And for the first time, Rudd Middle joined the celebration and crowned their own Srta. Hispanidad, Miss Ashley Cornelio, in the Junior Division. 🌟
A big thank you to the Hispanic Honor Society for sponsoring this vibrant celebration and to our talented PVHS Cosmetology Department for their hair and makeup artistry. 💇♀️💄 The event was made even better with the sounds of the PVHS Mariachi Band. 🎶
