CAR LINE PROCEDURES-
Car Line will be only be one lane. The car line lane is the right lane closest to the school. There will be 10 spots (drop off/pick up zone) open for cars to load and unload. There will be numbered cones 1-10 placed along the sidewalk. Please do not park in the parking lot and walk to the main school building. ** Except for Kindergarten parents on the first day of school and our Pre-K students until further notice.
Morning Drop Off-
As you approach the drop off zone - align your front bumper with a numbered cone and place your car in park. Teachers and safety patrol will be on the sidewalk to assist your child with exiting. Please make sure your car is in park before your child exits the car ONLY on the passenger side ( nearest the sidewalk).
Pre-K Drop Off-
Until further notice Pre- K parents ONLY will park in the front parking lot and walk their child to the school and sign off for drop off
Students will exit only on the passenger side of the car. This will prevent students from walking in between cars. After your child exits the car and your car is placed in drive -please verify that the cars in front of you are unloaded and moving. Please do not attempt to pass in the left lane. It will be blocked. If all cars are prepared to move after their child exits,the flow of traffic will not be impeded.
Afternoon Pick Up-
Please have your child's car name tag displayed prominently and
leave it displayed until your child is in your car.
Your child's name and cone number will be called over a walkie talkie system. Please listen for the cone number so that you will know the correct cone to park beside. As you approach the drop off /pick up zone - align your front bumper with a numbered cone and place your car in park. Teachers will be on the sidewalk to assist your child with entering the car. Also, please do not leave large gaps between you and the car in front of you.
Pre-K Afternoon Pick up-
Begins at 2:15 Pre-K parents will use the left lane for pick up. Please pull down towards the gym and students will load on the passenger side of the car.
Students will enter ONLY on the passenger side of the car. This will prevent students from walking in between cars. After your child enters the car and your car is placed in drive -please verify that the cars in front of you are loaded and moving. Please do not attempt to pass in the left lane. It will be blocked. If all cars are prepared to move after their child enters the car, the flow of traffic will not be impeded.
If for some reason your child is not at their assigned cone, there will be a teacher that will be recalling your student's name. However, if the cars in front of you begin to move, you will need to proceed without your child in the car. Please continue to move forward and drive to the parking lot. You may remain in your car a teacher will escort your child to your car.
Please remember the first few days of car line will be the busiest! There will be delays- as teachers, students, parents, day care vans and buses all adjust. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated!!
