Please help us congratulate our JEFCOED District Spelling Bee winner, Gavin Cruse, from Mount Olive Elementary School!
He won first place for the second year in a row during Wednesday’s spelling bee at the Jefferson County Board of Education. Gavin will now go on to compete in the county-wide spelling bee on Feb. 11.
We would also like to congratulate our 2nd place winner, Kelsey Causey from Pleasant Grove Elementary, as well as our 3rd place winner, David Simpson from Hueytown Intermediate.
We are incredibly proud of our winners and participants for how they performed at this year’s competition. Getting to this point is no easy task, and we applaud our students’ dedication!
