From start to finish, yesterday was filled with lively Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations in Pinson!🎶👑
The festivities began with La Srta. Quinceañera pageant, where contestants graced the stage in beautiful gowns and spoke from the heart during the onstage interview portion.
We want to congratulate Arlete Granados Zamora, the newly crowned Srta. Quinceañera, as well as all of the finalists and contestants—each of you did an amazing job!
The excitement continued into the evening with Pinson’s Hispanic Heritage Festival, where families from every school in the Pinson feeder pattern came together to enjoy entertaining performances, delicious meals, fun crafts, and more!
We truly appreciate everyone who made these special events possible!

Please join us and the Pinson community to celebrate Hispanic Heritage!

We appreciate each student who attended our first Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council meeting of the year! During these meetings, student representatives from throughout our district participate in thought-provoking conversations with Dr. Gonsoulin. These discussions are invaluable and allow us to continue growing as a district. Thank you again to everyone who participated!

Today is School Custodian Appreciation Day, and we hope you'll join us in celebrating our outstanding custodians here at JEFCOED!🎉
These heroes not only ensure students and teachers spend their days in clean, safe environments, but also spread positivity throughout their schools. We appreciate all they do to help our district thrive! When you see your school custodian today, be sure to tell them thank you!

Kermit Johnson Elementary School came together for its very first Autism Awareness Walk. It was amazing!💙 Students, teachers, and staff showed their support and celebrated the unique strengths of their friends with Autism.
3rd-5th grade students created thoughtful banners as they learned more about Autism and how we can all be kinder, more inclusive, and more understanding. The creativity and compassion on display were truly heartwarming.
Special thanks goes out to Ms. Bria Tuck for organizing the event and to Hurst Towing for bringing their Autism Awareness tow truck!
