Every year Kermit Johnson Elementary School creates cards for the military as an act of kindness. This year, our very own U.S. Marine, Principal Jermaine Howard, made this activity even more meaningful. Approximately 700 cards offering encouragement and thanks are on their way to the U.S. Marine Corp base at Twentynine Palms, CA.

Tomorrow is an E-Learning Day. Students will not report to campus.

Honoring Black History Month through the arts!🎭🎨
Johnson Elementary School’s Black History Month Program served as a beautiful tribute to Black artists and musicians. Students participated in a play that honored the influences of African-American music and paid tribute to artists like Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Nat King Cole, and Michael Jackson!
Each grade level also completed art projects for Black History Month that were displayed throughout the school. From start to finish, this event was a lovely celebration of Black artists, and we appreciate each individual who made it possible!

4th graders at Johnson Elementary School recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Rickwood Caverns State Park! They spent the day in nature, exploring stalagmites and stalactites, seeing ancient fossils up close, and learning all about the ecosystems and geological history of the caverns!
This experience brought learning to life, and we're so glad these students were able to take part in such a fascinating field trip!🚌🤩
