Senior Spotlight! 🎓🌟 Please help us congratulate graduating senior, Ellie Kennemer! Ellie attends the Jefferson County Virtual Academy of Learning and is making history as the first JCVAL student to be named an Honor Graduate! This fall, Ellie will attend the University of North Alabama. She plans to enroll in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Ellie wants to become a social worker so she can create a world where all children have the resources they need to thrive. Ellie has received several scholarships through UNA, including an academic scholarship, an honors program scholarship and an honors housing scholarship. Outside of academics, Ellie is involved in the Youth Leadership Development Program and is active in her church and its children’s ministry. For the past two years she has worked as a substitute teacher at the Kingwood Christian Child Development Center (KCCDC). There, she works with kids ages 8 weeks to 4 years old. Ellie has accomplished so much during her time at JEFCOED. We know she will continue doing wonderful things!
