Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School (JCIB)
JCIB offers a challenging, globally recognized curriculum for students in grades 6–12. This program focuses on academic achievement, critical thinking, and personal growth, preparing students for college and a changing world. JCIB’s mission is to cultivate intellectually curious, compassionate, and internationally minded learners.

UAB-JEFCOED Teacher Academy
The UAB-JEFCOED Teacher Academy is a unique fast-track program for aspiring educators. In partnership with UAB, students earn real classroom experience and college credit - at no cost. This is a great opportunity for those interested in a career in education.

ELEMENTARY MAGNET PROGRAMS
STEAM Magnet Schools
STEAM Magnet Schools offer hands-on, project-based learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. All JEFCOED elementary students are eligible, and transportation is provided to increase access.

International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) encourages students to be curious, ask questions, and lead their own learning in a “global gold standard” environment. This program is open to all JEFCOED elementary students, with transportation provided.
