We are pleased to announce that three JEFCOED students have been awarded National Merit Scholarships funded by U.S. colleges and universities!

The winners include Brian Moose from Shades Valley High School, Braden Harris from Mortimer Jordan High School, and Chase Gohn from the Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School.

This prestigious award recognizes their commitment in the classroom and beyond.

Candidates began the rigorous application process as juniors. After being named semi-finalists, they then submitted essays and provided lists of their extracurricular activities and accomplishments to become finalists.

Additionally, semi-finalists needed to maintain excellent grades, receive a recommendation from a high school official, and achieve top SAT or ACT scores.

Our JEFCOED Merit Scholars worked very hard to get here, and we are so proud of them.
