We are excited to share that Mr. Andrew Reid has been named principal of Irondale Middle School.

Principal Reid is an experienced educational leader with more than 18 years of service in public education as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher. He is committed to creating a positive school culture where students, teachers, and families can thrive. 

Throughout his career, he has led initiatives to improve student achievement, increase graduation rates, strengthen college and career readiness, reduce chronic absenteeism, and build strong partnerships between schools and their communities. 

Principal Reid holds an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Montevallo, along with additional degrees and a certificate in instructional leadership earned from accredited institutions. He is dedicated to fostering excellence through collaboration, innovation, and servant leadership.

Mr. Reid and his wife, Kristen, who serves as a guidance counselor, have three children and enjoy spending time together as a family. Outside of school, Principal Reid enjoys fitness, reading, and investing in the growth and development of others.
