Mrs. Lawson's 2nd Grade class wrapped up their first skills unit in the tastiest way possible! After reading "The Cat Bandit"—where a sneaky cat pulls off crazy kitchen heists in every chapter—the students channeled the story by working together to create their very own classroom snack mix.
Learning has never tasted so good! 😋📚

Last September, nearly 180 students earned the ultimate Halloween field trip to the Board of Education. The halls were filled with awesome costumes, huge smiles, and LOTS of treats from the Central office staff.
Now it’s Hueytown Primary’s turn! Our classes are competing throughout September for a chance to experience it all on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
