JEFCOED Weather Update, Background shows window covered in ice crystals and rain

JEFCOED Family,

I wanted to touch base with everyone before the weekend. We obviously have been monitoring the weather forecast all week. As you probably know, it looks like the really bad winter weather will miss us. However, we are still concerned about the extremely cold temperatures and the possibility of black ice Sunday night into Monday morning.

My team and I will watch this situation closely throughout the weekend. If we do have to make any schedule adjustments, we will let you know as soon as we possibly can. Please check your email, phone, text, the district’s social media channels, and ParentSquare app for updates.

Also, now is the time to think through what a possible delay or school closure would mean for your family. I absolutely hate implementing either of those scenarios, because I realize the inconvenience that both cause. However, we also have to prioritize the safety of our students and employees.

Again, please stay tuned for updates. We will do our best to communicate any changes with you in a timely manner.

All the best,

Dr. Gonsoulin
