It is with great pride that we announce our 2026 graduating class received a record-breaking amount of scholarship offers.
The following totals are a significant increase compared to previous years, thanks in part to Alabama Possible and the Alabama Direct Admission Program.
Total scholarship amount offered: $726,502,479
15,440 scholarships offered
1,520 students offered at least one scholarship
Dr. Loni Hodge, Director of School Counseling, shares how this program works.
“Students get to complete their FAFSA form and then apply online through a match program, and it will automatically match them to schools and offer them scholarships without any essays, applications, or any additional work,” Hodge said.
Dr. Hodge said that all students need to participate is a completed FAFSA and their current high school transcript. This simple process opens many doors for our high school seniors, according to Hodge.
“The goal of the program is to increase the first generation, college-bound students for all of our communities, and also trying to eliminate any barriers that a student may have to start going to school,” Hodge said.
Dr. Hodge celebrates this program, as well as the work of our high school counselors and career coaches.
“Through the dedicated efforts of both of these professionals, they have worked extremely hard to ensure that all of our high school seniors have a completed FAFSA or a waiver, but then they've also helped them complete their match application so that they can get all of their scholarship opportunities and make college affordable,” said Hodge.
We are incredibly grateful our graduates were able to take advantage of this program, and look forward to seeing them succeed in their next chapters!
