What is a Peer Helper?
A Peer Helper is a highly respected student leader who is trained to provide support, encouragement, and assistance to their fellow classmates. They are role models who help strengthen our school's positive culture. Their key roles and responsibilities often include:
Mentoring: Serving as a friend and positive role model for students who may be new or struggling. Support System: Offering encouragement and a confidential, empathetic ear to peers facing social, emotional, or academic challenges.
Ambassadors: Welcoming new students, giving school tours, and representing the school at various events. Promoting Wellness: Leading campaigns that encourage healthy choices, kindness, and conflict resolution.
Referral: Knowing when a peer needs more help than they can offer and connecting them with a trusted adult, such as a counselor or teacher.
Being a Peer Helper is a significant privilege and responsibility that shows your commitment to caring for others. Thank you for stepping up to make a difference at Brighton School!
