We are pleased to announce Dr. Loni Hodge as our new Director of Counseling, Assessments, and Accountability.
Dr. Loni Hodge is starting her 19th year in education. She taught science and special education at the middle and high school level for 10 years before joining the JEFCOED family as an administrator.
Here at JEFCOED, Dr. Hodge has served as an assistant principal at Gardendale Elementary, and principal at Johnson Elementary and Grantswood Community School.
Dr. Hodge's goal is to ensure that all students feel safe and loved at school. She believes that when students have emotional security at school, they have a solid foundation to soar academically.
On a personal note, Dr. Hodge and her husband, Justin, have three kids - Hudson, Colton, and Marlee. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Hodge is a state-licensed Sign Language Interpreter and has interpreted for several comedians and even former President Barack Obama when he visited Alabama in 2015!
Dr. Hodge is honored to have a new role in Jefferson County where she can support all schools in behavior, school improvement, and assessments.
