Notice of Board Public Input Meeting

The Jefferson County Board of Education will meet in a required session on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the board’s office, 2100 18th Street South, Birmingham, Alabama, as mandated by the Code of Alabama:

The county board of education shall hold a meeting for the purpose of giving the public an opportunity of presenting to the board matters relating to the allotment of public school funds, or any other matters relating to the administration of the public schools of the county (Alabama Code, 16-8-3).

Pursuant to Alabama Code 16-8-3, the public may submit a request to be added to the agenda by emailing Mr. John Huddleston at  Please use the subject line "Public Input Meeting Request" and include your name in the body of the email.  Comments must be no longer than 3 minutes in length.  

The deadline to submit a request to be added to the agenda will be May 1, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
