Message from Dr. Gonsoulin - September 4, 2020
Dear JEFCOED Family,
I hope you have had a great first week of remote learning. The week has brought its fair share of challenges but we will get through this period together.
Returning to Traditional School
We are at the point now where we will soon be able to honor your choice of traditional or remote school. The district and school leadership is currently discussing plans for a safe return. We anticipate returning before the end of the first nine weeks. More details will be released in the coming days.
I know there has been some various information circulating on social media concerning this topic. No official dates have been released.
I ask for your continued patience and support.
No Meals on Monday
We will not be serving Lunch or Breakfast on Monday because of Labor Day. Carline pickup and bus stop drop off will continue on Tuesday, September 8th.
Because the USDA recently extended the summer feeding program, anyone 18 or younger may eat for free.
Pickup and drop off times/locations can be found on JEFCOED.com
Free Internet Vouchers
Anyone currently enrolled in free or reduced lunch will be receiving an internet voucher in the mail. This is made possible by the Alabama Broadband Connectivity for Students Program.
Many of the vouchers are now arriving in mailboxes. Be sure to look for them.
After you receive the voucher, please follow the instructions. If you encounter any problems during the setup/installation process or if you are told the voucher is not valid, please call the ABC for Students customer service line at 1-888-212-4998.
I hope you all have a pleasant and safe Labor Day Weekend!
Dr. Walter Gonsoulin
