Thu, Jul 8, 2021 letter from Dr. Gonsoulin

Dear JEFCOED Family,

I hope you are having a wonderful and restful summer. We just finished the SOAR program and what a success it was! I commend each and every one of our students who showed up and gave their best effort daily. To our teachers and staff, THANK YOU! You have worked tirelessly this year for the betterment of our students and your efforts are appreciated.

We now turn our attention towards the 2021-2022 school year. My goal is to have as normal a school year as possible. However, please understand that while we are in a much better place than we were a year ago at this time, the pandemic is far from over. If for some reason cases start to go back up, there is always a chance we would have to adjust our policies and procedures accordingly.

I have outlined several parts of our back-to-school plan below. Please read each section for specifics. Reach out to us or to your local school should you have questions. Don’t forget school begins Tuesday, August 10th! I hope you have a great rest of your summer and we will see you soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Walter Gonsoulin
