McAdory Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is an American team competition in which students compete in events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Students in grades 3-5 may try out in August to earn a spot on the team. The team practices twice a week from September through February.

The McAdory Elementary Science Olympiad Team took first place in the Jefferson County Tournament on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Irondale Middle School. McAdory competed against 25 other teams from around the area to bring home the gold! The McAdory Elementary Science Olympiad Team is coached by Theresa Moyer and Meagan Smith. The team went on to place 7th in the Jacksonville Regional Science Olympiad competition on February 23rd. They competed against 23 other teams from around the state.
