Weekly Announcements - Week of 9/7 to 9/10
As we continue to navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, parents, we need your assistance with ensuring safety for all of HMS faculty, staff and students. If someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact our main office and follow the exclusion guidelines by keeping your child at home. If your child has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results, contact our main office and keep your child at home until results have been provided. Also parents, if you have been contacted by the school regarding your child being exposed, please adhere to the exclusion guidelines. Parents, please contact Nurse Childs regarding COVID-19 related self quarantining. COVID-19 related absences are only provided if parents have contacted Nurse Childs and we have documented the COVID-19 absence. If you have any specific questions, please contact our main office.
**Parents, please email your child’s teachers for make-up assignments if he/she is excluded from school due to COVID-19 exposure.
It is time for flu vaccines. The clinic is provided by Health Heroes, a division of the ADPH. The Health Hero Clinic will facilitate flu vaccinations at HMS on September 7th. Consent forms must be returned to Nurse Childs ASAP. See attachment for consent forms.
HMS 1st Nine Weeks Progress Reports will be distributed via PowerSchool September 16th. The Parent Portal with PowerSchool will be available for access on September 9, 2021.
iReady Diagnostic Testing
We will be facilitating iReady diagnostic testing this week. All students will be taking Math and Language Arts assessments. This assessment will assist us address our students' academic deficiencies. We will administer this assessment in all Math and Language Arts classes using the schedule below:
Math: September 7th-10th
Language Arts: September 14th-17th
Make-Up Days: September 21st-24th
**All students, employees, and visitors must wear a mask while on campus during the school day.
**Students are expected to be dropped off and picked up on the side of the building, not the main entrance. Parents are to remain in their vehicles when dropping off and/or picking up students.
**Classes begin daily at 7:55AM.
**All check-outs must be facilitated by 2:30 PM daily
**All HMS Athletic Events will use Go Fan for purchasing tickets. Instructions are attached to the email.
