Weekly Announcements - Week of 5/17/21
As we continue to navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, parents, we need your assistance with ensuring safety for all of HMS faculty, staff and students. If someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact our main office and follow the quarantine guidelines by keeping your child at home. If your child has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results, please keep your child at home until results have been provided. Also parents, if you have been contacted by the school regarding your child being exposed, please adhere to the quarantine guidelines. If you have any specific questions, please contact our school’s nurse, Nurse Morris.
**We will continue to require masks for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors until the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This includes traditional school and any other school-sponsored events such as graduation ceremonies.
EOC Grade Recovery Plan
Parents, students who have failed a course 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd Nine Weeks will be eligible to participate in our EOC Grade Recovery Plan. Students will only receive a maximum score of 60% if they have completed the study guide and make a minimum score of 60% on the EOC assessment. Study guides were released Thursday, May 13th via Edmentum. The testing schedule is below. If you have any questions, please communicate with your child's teacher. Students not participating in the EOC grade recovery will be working on extension activities. All assessments will be facilitated using Edmentum.

HMS Device Return Plan
The last day for synchronous instruction is Monday, May 17th. HMS Device Return Plan is attached to this email. All students will be provided extension activities via paper and pencil. Remote learners can pick-up paper and pencil activities from the main office when they return their devices. Last day of school for students is May 28th.
EOY Awards Ceremony
We are excited to announce and invite all 8th grade students to our 1st 8th Grade Transition Ceremony on Tuesday, May 25th. Due to COVID guidelines and capacity of the venue, we are allowing two guests per 8th grade student.Tickets will be available for parents to pick up in the main office on Thursday, May 20th, Monday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 25th.

Attention Students Who Ride Bus 08-11/22-15
