Weekly Announcements - Week of 4/19/21


As we continue to navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, parents, we need your assistance with ensuring safety for all of HMS faculty, staff and students. If someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact our main office and follow the quarantine guidelines by keeping your child at home. If your child has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results, please keep your child at home until results have been provided. Also parents, if you have been contacted by the school regarding your child being exposed, please adhere to the quarantine guidelines. If you have any specific questions, please contact our school’s nurse, Nurse Morris.

**We will continue to require masks for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors until the end of the 2020-2021 school year.  This includes traditional school and any other school-sponsored events such as graduation ceremonies.  


Change in Learning Option

Parents, you cannot change the learning option of your child without receiving permission to do so. If you have questions regarding your learning option, please contact Mrs. Davis in the main office. 


Morning Drop Off

Parents, the front entrance is NOT a morning drop off location. Students who are dropped off at the front entrance prior to 7:55AM will be redirected to the side of the building. Thank you for your assistance. 


Traditional and Remote Learning Schedule

Parents, we will return to our traditional and remote learning schedules this week. All traditional learners will report back to campus on Monday, April 19th. 


ACAP Testing

Parents, thank you so much for assisting us with ACAP testing. As of date, we have 91% of our students tested. Remember, our goal is 100% participation. We will facilitate make-up testing on April 27th and April 29th. We will communicate with the parents and students who need to make-up ACAP testing. 


HMS Upcoming Remote Days

All HMS students will participate in remote learning on the following days:

May 5th-Elearning Day 


Student Dress Code

*Jeans with open holes above the knee are not allowed

*No halter-tops, spaghetti strap tops. Midriff tops, or overly revealing shirts

*Leggings and jeggins are allowed only if you have appropriate clothing over them that meet the dress code policy

*Skirts and dresses must be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee

Student Announcements

**HMS Pageant tickets are available for purchase during the school day from 8AM-2PM. Miss HMS Pageant will be Saturday, April 24th @ 2PM, HHS Auditorium. See Mrs. Wallis or Mrs. LaFoy if you have any questions.
