Weekly Announcements - Week of 3/29/21


As we continue to navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, parents, we need your assistance with ensuring safety for all of HMS faculty, staff and students. If someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact our main office and follow the quarantine guidelines by keeping your child at home. If your child has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results, please keep your child at home until results have been provided. Also parents, if you have been contacted by the school regarding your child being exposed, please adhere to the quarantine guidelines. If you have any specific questions, please contact our school’s nurse, Nurse Morris.


4th Nine Weeks

Parents, Monday, March 29th begins the 4th nine weeks. If you requested to change the learning option of your child, the switch will begin on March 29th unless information has been provided to you otherwise. Parents, you cannot change the learning option of your child without receiving permission to do so. If you have questions regarding your learning option, please contact Mrs. Davis in the main office. 


Parent Surveys

Attention HMS Parents! We are in the process of conducting an evaluation of our Title I Parent and Family Engagement Program, and we would like to know what you think. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. The responses will be used to improve next year’s Parent and Family Engagement program. 

If you have questions about the survey or need assistance, please contact us.

ACAP Testing

All traditional learners will participate in ACAP Testing this week on March 30th, March 31st, and April 1st. We are requesting students to arrive on time on testing days. The testing schedule is listed below. Remote learners will be participating in asynchronous learning activities during testing days.

HMS Upcoming Remote Days

All HMS students will participate in remote learning on the following days:

April 5th-6th: HMS Faculty/Staff will be participating in COVID-19 Vaccinations. All HMS learners will participate in asynchronous learning activities using their own learning schedule.

April 13th-14th: All traditional learners will participate in asynchronous learning activities using their own learning schedule due to ACAP testing for remote learners. All remote learners will report to campus on these dates. 

May 5th-Elearning Day
