Weekly Announcements - Week of 3/22/21

Parent Surveys

Attention HMS Parents! We are in the process of conducting an evaluation of our Title I Parent and Family Engagement Program, and we would like to know what you think. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey. The responses will be used to improve next year’s Parent and Family Engagement program. 

If you have questions about the survey or need assistance, please contact us. 

Your answers are confidential. The deadline to submit this survey is March 31st.

HMS Upcoming Remote Days

All HMS students will participate in remote learning on the following days:

April 5th-6th: HMS Faculty/Staff will be participating in COVID-19 Vaccinations. All HMS learners will participate in asynchronous learning activities using their own learning schedule.

April 13th-14th: All traditional learners will participate in asynchronous learning activities using their own learning schedule due to ACAP testing for remote learners. All remote learners will report to campus on these dates. 

May 5th-Elearning Day 

 

ACAP Testing

We will facilitate ACAP Summative and ACAP Alternate testing to all traditional learners on March 30th, March 31st, and April 1st. Testing schedule is listed below.

Student Announcements

**Attention 6th & 7th Grade Girls: If you are interested in trying out for HMS Cheerleading Team, there will be a mandatory parent meeting March 30th @ 5PM via WebEx. WebEx information will be sent closer to the meeting date. 

 

**Attention 8th Graders: Please join HHS for parent night on March 29th from 6-7:30 to meet the counseling department and to learn more about upcoming course selection. The Career tech department will be discussing their pathways and course expectations along with choir and theatre. Please be on the lookout for an email containing the Webex information.

 

**All Jefferson County Schools and offices will be closed March 22nd-26th for Spring Break.
