Weekly Announcements - Week of 3/8/21
COVID-19
As we continue to navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, parents, we need your assistance with ensuring safety for all of HMS faculty, staff and students. If someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact our main office and follow the quarantine guidelines by keeping your child at home. If your child has been tested for COVID-19 and is awaiting results, please keep your child at home until results have been provided. Also parents, if you have been contacted by the school regarding your child being exposed, please adhere to the quarantine guidelines. If you have any specific questions, please contact our school’s nurse, Nurse Morris.
HMS Change in Learning Option
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through the "new normal" as it relates to educating our students. When we returned to school, you were given the option for your student to learn in either the traditional setting or the remote setting. We know that most of you wish to continue learning in the manner that you currently are, but some may wish to change their original choice. This choice can only be changed at the end of each nine week grading period, and the third nine week grading period ends on March 19,2021. If you wish for your child to continue with the delivery method that they are currently in, there is nothing for you to do; simply continue with what you have been doing during the third nine weeks. However, if you wish to change from Traditional to Remote or from Remote to Traditional, please click on the link below and submit your request by Wednesday, March 17th. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Davis, denisedavis@jefcoed.com or 205-379-5150.
