Important Update

Erwin Intermediate Community,

This is Mr. Thomas with some very important updates regarding the 2020-21 school year.

It is my hope that you and your family are healthy and safe. The beginning of the school year is near. There are several things that are needed to assure that we are able to provide your child with the best educational year possible despite what has transpired the last several months.

Parents please check your emails, a return to school survey was emailed via class dojo a few days ago. This survey provides you the opportunity to select how your child will return to school. If you didn’t receive the survey link please email me at ldthomas@jefcoed.com. Today August, 3 is the last day to submit feedback.

Parents by now you should have your child’s snap code for registration. Our online portal went live on last week. Please remember that in order for registration to be completed there are requirements that must be met. Please visit our schools website regarding  steps for registration.

This year’s registration is different from the past due to COVID-19. In efforts to assist you with registration we will allow the custodial parent only to come into the building next week for computer access. Please understand that your safety and the safety of others is our top priority.  If you choose to come to the building,  you must adhere to the safety guidelines that are in place. Anyone that enters the building must have on a face covering. Access inside the building will be granted to five people at a time.  There will be computer stations set up with plenty of distance in between stations.

You have been asked to email your residence information and other required documents to lnash@jefcoed.com. A list of registration requirements are listed on our school’s website.

On Monday August 3rd, 3rd grade parents of returning students to Jefferson County may come to the building starting at 8:30 - 11:30 a.m and from 1 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

On Tuesday August 4th, 4th grade parents of returning students to Jefferson County may come to the building starting at 8:30 - 11:30 a.m and from 1 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

I know that has been a very different experience for you as it has been for each of us. I am asking that you please contact us if you have any questions about the registration process. I am soliciting your patience as we do our best to make your registration process seamless.
