Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment classes are provided through The University of North Alabama (UNA) and Jefferson State Community College to students in grades 10-12. UNA classes are taught in person at Shades Valley High School with Shades Valley teachers. Most Jefferson State classes are taught online. Students may attend in person classes at Jefferson State Community College during times that do not interfere with their Shades Valley classes. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/student in that case. We recommend that students are motivated, disciplined, and have the time management skills needed to be successful with dual enrollment.
