Jefferson County School District - Happy Retirement, Tai Bondman, Ammie Dawson, Mike Manning

At our most recent Board Meeting, we had the honor of recognizing three outstanding principals who are retiring from Jefferson County Schools. Each of these leaders has left a lasting impact on their school communities and our district.

Tai Bondman - Fultondale Elementary School

Ms. Bondman began her education career in 1998, bringing a wealth of experience from several school systems before joining JEFCOED in 2011. She started her career as a teacher, transitioned into administration as an assistant principal in 2015, and was appointed principal in 2019.

Ammie Swan Dawson - Bagley Elementary School

Ms. Dawson has dedicated 24 years to serving students in Jefferson County Schools. She began teaching in Jefferson County in 2001, serving students as a Library Media Specialist and a District Instructional Coach. Ms. Dawson stepped into school leadership in 2016 as an assistant principal and in 2020 as principal of Bagley Elementary.

Mike Manning - Corner Middle School

With over 32 years of service in JEFCOED, Mr. Manning has been a steady presence and a trusted leader. He began teaching in 1991, became an assistant principal in 2003, and assumed the role of principal at Corner Middle in 2010.
